Our Story

Fundamentals of Learning Children Academy Inc is a highly regarded day care center located in Dolton, Illinois. Owned by Lisa Dansby, who has been in the child care industry for several years, our center provides a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn and grow. Lisa's passion for working with children led her to purchase the business 3 years ago, having previously run a home daycare center. At Fundamentals of Learning Children Academy, we pride ourselves on maintaining a low child-to-teacher ratio, ensuring that each child receives the individualized attention and care they need to thrive. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing a positive and enriching experience for every child who walks through our doors.

We strive to create an atmosphere where children feel safe, loved, and valued. Our curriculum is designed to encourage exploration, discovery, and creativity, while also fostering important life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking. That's why we offer a foreign language curriculum to help children develop an appreciation for other languages and cultures. In addition to our foreign language program, we also organize field trips. This is a Wonderful daycare center. My kids love it here so far. The staff are friendly and have a schedule in place for each age level. The center is always clean and they feed the children healthy, balanced meals. My kids always have good things to tell me upon pick up. The other children that Attend the daycare are so well mannered and the environment is almost always peaceful and quiet.
